We create natural cosmetics that not only protect our planet, but also your body and your well-being. Our vision is to make sustainable cosmetic products accessible to everyone, so that everyone can experience the health benefits of herbal ingredients on their own body. We believe that as a society we have the ability to make small and systemic changes to stop man-made climate change. Lua Botanicals shampoos and soaps are intended to be our contribution to this shared change and express our appreciation for the wonderful planet we live on.

Our promise to the future

Vegan, local and CO2 neutral

We strive for climate neutrality. All ingredients in our natural cosmetics are vegan and are sourced from reliable, sustainable suppliers in Germany. We would actually like to grow the plants needed to make our soaps and shampoos ourselves in our gardens. However, this is not possible in Germany due to some legal requirements. That's why we have entered into various partnerships with certified producers. Local production was particularly important to us in order to keep transport routes as short as possible and our CO2 emissions as low as possible.

Without animal testing

We respect animal welfare. Lua Botanicals and all partner companies are committed to producing vegan products and refraining from animal testing. This not only has a positive effect on our climate balance, but also contributes to the preservation of ecosystems.
In order to guarantee you a clean, safe product, we test all new hygiene products on ourselves and on acquaintances and friends. The risk of skin irritation or reactions is minimal anyway because we use 100% herbal ingredients.

Zero waste, handmade, plastic-free

Apart from velvety-soft skin and shiny hair, our sustainable shampoos leave no trace in the environment - we promise!

Lua Botanicals is a sustainable start-up from Hamburg. This means that we, Kelly and Cecilia, create and produce all of our shampoos independently in our studio ( about us ). In this way, we can regulate the entire manufacturing process independently. We always try to generate as little waste as possible and save as much water and raw materials as we can. For example, we produce our products in a water bath, which allows us to reuse and save water. In addition, our production tools such as ladles, molds and presses are made from durable, washable materials. When a product arrives at your door, it will arrive in a small box made of recycled cardboard and a biodegradable envelope paper. Simply dispose of the packaging in organic waste or waste paper containers or reuse it.

Our promise to you

The skin is the natural barrier between the environment and the organism and requires loving care. Just like nature, it can withstand synthetic stress to a certain extent. However, daily exposure to chemical ingredients quickly takes its toll on the skin. That's why we consciously avoid synthetic fragrances, colors and preservatives in our ecological soaps and only use nutrient-rich, plant-based ingredients.
